oil play
'Oil play' is commonly known as a form of massage or relaxation using oil. Usually, massage oil or aromatic oil is applied to the skin and smooth hand and body movements are intended to increase relaxation and stimulate blood circulation. The use of oil moisturises the skin and reduces friction, resulting in a pleasant sensation.
The use of oil increases smoothness, reduces friction, increases pleasure and enables smooth movements. Depending on the oil, it can also be combined with massage, which some couples enjoy as a form of relaxation.
Notes:.
Type of oil: the type of oil used is very important in oil sex. Although most common body oils and massage oils are gentle on the skin, care should be taken when using them with contraceptives (especially latex condoms). Many oils (especially baby oil and coconut oil) degrade latex and increase the risk of condom breakage. If contraception is a consideration, it is safer to use water-soluble lubricants.
Prevention of infections: even when using oil, care must be taken to prevent sexually transmitted infections (STIs). If condoms cannot be used or are at risk of breakage, it is important to take alternative safety measures.
Skin reactions: some oils may not suit sensitive skin. To prevent allergic reactions and skin irritation, it is advisable to patch test (try a small amount in an inconspicuous area, such as the inside of the arm) any oil before using it for the first time.
Using oils may provide a more sensory experience, but safety and the person's consent are paramount.
